Take the battle to the Separatists by unfolding the wings to attack position and firing flick missiles at enemy droid starfighters! Duplo! What else?

Duplo is great: by being larger it avoids the problem of ordinary Lego pieces, which is to fit into the mouths of toddlers too easily. Toddler hands can grasp onto Duplo pieces with ease and can learn to put them together to make their first lego constructions.

Lego Heroica Board Game

LEGO Heroica Board Games
LEGO Heroica is an Adventure Board Game, which takes LEGO fun to the next level. It comprises of four different games, which can be played separately, or joined to form the ultimate action packed Board Game.

Lego Heroica is inspired by the popular 'role playing' group games, which (mostly boys) have been doing for decades. Parents who grew up doing role playing themselves, will like introducing their kids to it through Lego Heroica.

I featured Draida Bay here because it is the smallest of the sets and seems to be designed as the introduction game. If your children like it, others in the series can be added either as stand alone games or in combination.

If your children like Draida Bay, you may want to invest in the largest set of them all: Castle Fortaan. It is most popular with my readers and consists of 11 rooms. Great for developing tactical reasoning, spatial coordination and even a bit of math.

LEGO Mini Animals

Build A Whole Zoo Worth Of LEGO Creator Mini Animals

LEGO Has designed and created a great selection of Mini Animals suitable for ages 6 and upwards. Most of the LEGO Mini Animals are small bagged Lego Sets that generally retail for under $15 but there are cool sets that are more expensive and contain more detailed Mini LEGO Animals.

The Lego Creator Mini Animals are not like the minifigure scale animals from regular themed LEGO sets, these Animals are actually built using individual Lego Blocks so they are quiet unique in their appearance and make a great collection for animal lovers whom love to build and collect with LEGO.

So if it`s LEGO Mini Animals your after then why not have a look at our cool collection of LEGO Animals below.

A Little History Of Lego

Lego building bricks were first introduced to the public in 1949. A carpenter, Ole Kirk Christiansen, of Billund, Denmark created the plastic interlocking bricks calling them Automatic Binding Bricks. The name Lego was the name of his company when he started to build wooden toys in 1932. It is from a Danish phrase that actually means: play well.

The toy bricks were meant for children to play with but as many of us grew up creating our own designs these toys have emerged into an almost cult like toy that adults enjoy building with, too. There are even contests involving the building if unique creations using Legos.

As many of you know, I make a living as an online publisher. This involves writing about stuff that interests me, like the spiritual path and karma, spiritual book reviews and so on. However, to make ends meet, I also do product recommendations. The movie reviews are somewhere between the spirituality (which doesn't make commercial sense) and the gift recommendations (which make me real money). Either way: I only recommend what I really liked.

That is: I recommend products, and you - the potential customer - get to have less of a chore finding them. It's a win-win, especially since I get a percentage for each sale. The deal is this: follow a link on any of these pages and buy something, and you - without any extra cost to you - are sponsoring me to keep on going.

I've started out of course with spiritual gifts, but there are also calendars, laptops, iPads, Harry Potter gear etc. It's all stuff I have bought or would buy if my house room and pockets were infinite. They're not and that's OK.

As you click through you'll notice that some of the gift pages are on this site, some are on other sites I've set up. See also my new gifts blog.
